Profound Messages, reproduction of Atul's texts

A dear friend, Atul Bhatkar used to text messages till recently. Many of them convey profound meanings. This post is a reproduction of most of them.

  1. A lot of people end up unhappy in life, Only because they usually do the mistake of taking Permanent Decisions on Temporary Emotions
  2. Remember life is short, don't break the rules: forgive quickly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that makes you smile.
  3. When someone has wronged you, repay them with forgiveness and it will be remembered forever
  4. You need Power, only when you want to do something harmful. Otherwise, LOVE, is enough to get everything done.
  5. Never blame a day in your life....Good Days give HAPPINESS, Bad Days give EXPERIENCE, Worst Days give a Lessons and Best Days give you MEMORIES

  8. Make yourself soft as water, that you can adjust easily with anyone. But make your attitude hard as Diamond that no one can hurt your feelings.
  9. To be kind is more important than to be a Genius. When a person is in sorrow, he does not need a brilliant mind that speaks, but needs a good heart that listens.
  10. A great author says: "I love photos. Photos never change even when people in it change."
  11. Excepting and accepting are two sides of life. Expecting can end in tears, but Accepting brings you cheers. Accept life the way it comes.
  12. Ehsan nahi ehsaas hai dosti, Zindagi ke imtehaan me ek muqaam hai dosti, Jaan den badi baat nahi, Mushkil waqt me saath nibhane ka naam hai dosti

  17. We have all the solutions to the problems which are not ours
  18. In our life, we play with TIME, but when we finally realize that we want to get serious, TIME starts playing with our life
  19. People always don't need advice. Sometimes, all they really need is a hand to hold, ear to listen and a heart to understand them!
  20. Charlie Chaplin: "Mirror is my best friend, because it Never laughs when I cry...."
  21. As parents, we should be both slow and quick....slow to get angry and quick to forgive.
  22. Desire changes nothing. Decision changes something, but DETERMINATION changes everything
  23. No matter how many times the teeth bites the tongue, they still stay together. That is the spirit of Forgiveness
  24. RADHE KRISHNA....what does it mean? The meaning is apparent when you say it slowly...RAAH-DE-KRISHNA....O My Lord, give me direction so that I can choose the right path
  25. Relationship with a good person is like a sugarcane. You break it, crush it, squeeze it, or even beat and grind it, still you will get only Sweetness
  26. Every morning you have two choices: Continue your sleep dreaming or Wake up and Chase your dreams. Choice is yours!
  27. 'Intention' kitna bhi achchha ho, duniya 'Presentation' dekhta hai. 'Presentation' kitna bhi achchha ho, Bhagwan 'Intention' dekhta hai
  28. Truth is simple, but when you try to explain it, it becomes difficult
  29. Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes time. But Vision with Action can change your world
  30. When destiny forgets to tie some people in blood relations, it corrects its mistake and ties them in "Heart relation."

  36. Silence and smile are two powerful tools. Smile is the way to solve many problems and silence is the way to avoid many problems
  37. Time decides who you meet in Life. Your Heart decides whom you want in life. But, finally its' your 'Behaviour' and 'Destiny' that decides who will stay till the end, in your life
  38. Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing oneself!

Diary of my Cairo visit, 10-April-2012

Last day in Cairo. Had packed one too many meetings. Had to rush to avoid missing my flight. Hotel to Airport took 2 hours. One of my colleague had misplaced his expensive camera in the car. Thankfully the person who found it, left it in the lost & found section. My belief in Egypt strengthens. Goodbye Cairo! You are and will remain etched in my memory. I love you!

Diary of my Cairo Visit, 9-April-2012

Hectic day with many official engagements. Also, managed to meet up with old friends. By the time I could hit the sack, it was well past midnight. Nothing much has changed!

Diary of my Cairo visit, 8-April-2012

The entire day was spent in official duties. Day starts at 8AM and ends at 8PM.

The driver who took me around was apolitical. For a change, he cared less about the politics. He seemed to believe that Amr Mousa is the only man worth to even stand for presidency. As he was driving me around, there was a huge queue. He let me into the reason for this. Most expats (definitely Egyptians) who had worked in Iraq were given a yellow slip in lieu of their salaries and dues. On presenting this slip, at a bank in their home country, they would get their dues. For the past decade, no one got any monies. My driver was a victim of this as well. Now, after all these years, banks have started paying and hence the long queue. Despite all this, his enthusiasm has not diminished.

Could not have my daily dose of Koshary today. Each time, I sat down for lunch, I was interrupted. Nothing much has changed!

Diary of my Cairo visit, 7-April-2012

Today was the weekend in Cairo. Most of the day was spent on official duties. Assessed the preparedness of presales team and local partner, our key messages to the prospect and my personal role in the 1-day workshop.  Met the local partner in their offices. Took the hotel car. This driver was a little more vocal on his preferences for the Egyptian president. Amr Mousa is good and because he brings in diplomatic credentials together with politics, he will win. Egypt should not become an Islamic country, hence, he did not prefer the Muslim brotherhood candidate. I prodded him about the rules and potential disqualification of this candidate. His view was, maybe, it will be good. He simply repeated that Egypt cannot afford to become an Islamic country. The only other candidate he had a view was on the ex-spy chief. He felt, this person will siphon more money than Mubarak and Egypt will be looking back and not forward. Had my daily Koshary together with this driver as lunch. Had my long walk in the evening, returned to the hotel room and off to bed. Nothing much had changed!
